NCDOT Bridge Replacement Project Will Close A Section Of Beatties Ford Road In Mecklenburg County Starting Friday Wednesday, June 18, 2014

CHARLOTTE – A section of Beatties Ford Road will be closing at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 20, as a N.C. Department of Transportation bridge replacement project gets underway.

The project will replace a 40-year-old functionally obsolete bridge that was built using design standards no longer used with a structure that can better handle the increased traffic volume along Beatties Ford Road. The new bridge is expected to be open by September 17.

Message board signs about the closure have been activated. Vehicles will be detoured around the project site by using Sunset Road, Reames Road and Lakeview Road. For more information, please contact the division bridge program engineer at (704) 983-4400.
