RALEIGH — Weather permitting, work will begin Monday night on an N.C. Department of Transportation project to preserve the bridge carrying N.C 86 over I-85 in Orange County.
To allow crews to clean and paint the structural steel below the deck of the bridge, one lane in each direction of I-85 near the N.C. 86 overpass will be closed each night from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning. The work will begin Monday, June 2, and is expected to be completed by Sunday June 15.
