Concrete Repairs on N.C. 133 Bridge Begin Monday in Brunswick County Wednesday, April 30, 2014

                                                            Nightly work to last through June
RALEIGH — On Monday, May 5, the N.C. Department of Transportation will begin concrete repair work on the N.C. 133 bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Oak Island, weather permitting.

During work, crews will have nightly alternating lane closures on the bridge, which is north of E Oak Island Drive. The night time construction is scheduled from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Sunday through Thursday nights. Work is expected to be complete Friday, June 13.

NCDOT is making strategic investments to repair and replace substandard bridges to provide better access across the state to fuel economic growth.
