RALEIGH —Next week, the N.C.
Department of Transportation will close a
section of High Rock Road in McLeansville for routine maintenance of the bridge
over Buffalo Creek.
On Monday, March 31, weather permitting, crews will close High Rock
Road near Huffine Mill Road. This section of High Rock Road will remain closed
for the duration of the work, which is expected to be completed by Friday, April
Local traffic will be able to access homes and businesses from either end of High
Rock Road, but will not be able to pass beyond the closure points on either
side of Buffalo Creek. During the closure, motorists will use Friedens Church
Road, McIntyre Road and Huffine Mill Road to navigate around the work zone. A map of the detour route can be seen here.

stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
