Many offices closed, central customer service phone line impacted
RALEIGH —Services at many North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles offices have been disrupted due to winter weather conditions affecting large parts of North Carolina. NCDMV’s central customer service phone line at (919) 715-7000 has also been impacted due to staff shortages.
Customers are urged to call their local DMV offices before they go. Those who have scheduled meetings or hearings with the Division will be contacted to reschedule after the weather emergency subsides. Commercial drivers are urged to continue to email their medical certification documentation to NCDMV at CDLmedical@ncdot.gov.
NCDMV online services continue to be available and offer registration renewals, vehicle tax information, duplicate registration cards, personalized and special plate information, duplicate driver licenses and ID cards, driving records, liability insurance information, and TRANS EXPRESSystem renewals for commercial carriers.
