Bridge Replacement Project will Close a Section of Floyd Moore Road in Union County Next Week Friday, December 06, 2013

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close Floyd Moore Road east of Rocky River Road southwest of Monroe at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, weather permitting, to replace the bridge crossing Beaver Dam Creek.

The bridge is located in a rural area of the county with low daily traffic volumes, so an offsite detour will not be posted. Crews will maintain an onsite detour during construction, expected to wrap up April 9, 2014. Vegetation and reforestation efforts will continue through October of next year.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
