WHAT:     Ceremony to dedicate bridge in honor of Investigator Warren B. Lewis, III


WHEN:        Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 4 p.m.

COMMENTS:     The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a ceremony dedicating the bridge on N.C. 231 at U.S. 64 west of Spring Hope in Nash County as the Inv. Warren B. Lewis, III Bridge. The late investigator for the Nash County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the U.S. Marshalls Violent Fugitive Task Force in the Eastern District of North Carolina was killed in the line of duty in 2011.

United States Attorney Thomas G. Walker will give remarks along with Nash County Board of Commissioners Chairman Fred Belfield Jr. and Nash County Sheriff Dick Jenkins. A replica of the official bridge sign will be presented to Lewis’ family by N.C. Board of Transportation member Gus Tulloss and United States Marshall Scott J. Parker.
