This week on “NCDOT Now”: 
  • The department is holding a series of public meetings this week about the Complete 540 Project in Wake County. Find out why it’s important to attend and share your thoughts on the potential routes we’re studying.
  • NCDOT is in the process of hiring a contractor to replace the metal temporary bridge built on Pea Island after Hurricane Irene with a permanent bridge. We’ll explain how the new bridge will improve travel on N.C. 12 in the Outer Banks.
  • Hundreds of students across the state celebrated International Walk to School Day by lacing up their sneakers and hitting the sidewalk. Hear why Secretary Tony Tata thinks events like this benefit the whole community.
