Bridge Replacement to Close Section of Rock Road in Pitt County Friday, September 20, 2013

RALEIGH —In an effort to decrease cost and maintenance, the N.C. Department of Transportation is replacing the bridge on Rock Road over Buckleberry Canal near Grifton.  

The bridge, located between N.C. 118 and Cletus Hart Road, will be replaced beginning Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 a.m., weather permitting. This section of Rock Road will be closed until Dec. 22 and motorists should use the signed detour route.
