CHARLOTTE – Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close the entrance ramp from Beatties Ford Road to N.C. 16 (Brookshire Freeway), and the exit ramp from N.C. 16 South to Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte from 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, until 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13.
Maintenance crews will be cutting back trees in these areas to improve sight distance and sign visibility. In the event of a snowy winter, these measures will help prevent weakened tree limbs from falling across the roadway.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
