Bridge Replacement Project to Close Hines Drive in Pitt County Wednesday, September 04, 2013

RALEIGH —Hines Drive will be closed beginning Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7 a.m., as N.C. Department of Transportation crews replace the bridge, built in 1962, over Swift Creek.

Weather permitting, the closure will be in place through Jan. 3, 2014 and motorists are advised to use the signed detour consisting of Lee Street, N.C. 102 and Ayden Golf Club Road.

This bridge is part of a design build contract awarded in February 2012 to ST Wooten/Stewart Engineering for $8.2 million. This will be the first of 11 bridges to be completed under this contract.
