CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of Hickory Ridge Road in Harrisburg at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, weather permitting. Contractor Blythe Construction will start a $392,000 project to replace the bridge over Fuda Creek.
Traffic will be detoured around the project from Hickory Ridge Road to Rocky River Road to Robinson Church Road to Stallings Road back to Hickory Ridge Road.
The contractor should have the bridge open to traffic September 28, and can continue vegetation and reforestation work through February 28, 2014.
