NCDMV Official Helps Roll Out Expanded Service Hours in Fayetteville Friday, April 05, 2013

RALEIGH – North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles’ Driver Services Director Barbara Webb will be on hand Saturday morning, April 6, at the South Fayetteville driver license office to launch Saturday hours at the first office to offer them in Fayetteville. The South Fayetteville office joins offices in Durham, Charlotte, Raleigh and Greenville, making it among the first six offices in the state to initiate the weekend hours.


The office will be open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to Noon. Most regular driver license services, including regular road tests, will be offered during this time, with the exception of CDL skills tests, medical re-exams and motorcycle skills tests.


Beginning Monday, April 8, the South Fayetteville office will also be open for an additional hour on Monday to Friday afternoons, from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. Testing services will be available until 5:30 p.m., but regular road tests will not be administered during rush hour.


Over the coming months, DMV will announce the participation of additional offices offering expanded hours.
