Several Ferries Temporarily Suspend Operations Due to Fog, Mechanical Issues Sunday, March 17, 2013

MANNS HARBOR – The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division  has temporarily suspended normal operations on several ferry routes this morning.

  • The Bayview-Aurora route is suspended due to mechanical issues. Crews are working to resume operations as soon as possible and expect to be able to depart for the regularly scheduled 10:30 a.m. run.
  • The Hatteras-Ocracoke route is currently shuttling until conditions allow full operations to resumeCrews hope to resume the normal departure schedule at 9 a.m.
  • The Cherry Branch-Minnesott Beach route is currently suspended due to fog.   Operations will return to normal as soon as conditions are deemed safe.
