DMV Mobile Unit Repairs Temporarily Halt Visits to Area Towns Monday, February 25, 2013

Unit expected to be back in service by mid-March


RALEIGH – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles has announced that it will be placing all scheduled stops on hold for the mobile unit serving locations in northeastern North Carolina. The mobile unit serving this area is currently under repair.


Dates and locations closed during the repairs include:


·         March 4, Scotland Neck

·         March 5, Windsor

·         March 6, Gatesville

·         March 7, Currituck

·         March 11, Jackson

·         March 12, Plymouth

·         March 13, Columbia

·         March 14, Swan Quarter


The division anticipates repairs to the mobile unit to be complete by March 15 and expects it to resume its normal schedule beginning March 18.


NCDMV mobile units take driver license services to remote areas of the state, offering original and renewal license issuance, written, sign and road testing.
