Fries Creek Bridge Replacement Project in Forsyth County to Begin Monday Friday, February 22, 2013

Will require the closure of Waller Road for 90 days

RALEIGH –
Work will begin next week to replace the bridge on Waller Road over Fries Creek west of Tobaccoville. The project will require Waller Road to close in both directions from Monday, Feb. 25, at 7 a.m. until Monday, May 27, at 5 p.m. when the new bridge is scheduled to be complete.

The closure will begin about 0.5 miles south of the intersection of Waller Road and N.C. 67 (Reynolda Road). The N.C. Department of Transportation will set up the following detour route at that point to guide motorists around the work zone:

·         Waller Road to N.C. 67 (Reynolda Road) to Vienna Dozier Road back to Waller Road.

The closure may cause some traffic delays. NCDOT urges motorists to go slow, pay attention to construction-related signs and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
