NCDOT will replace bridge on Mount Pleasant Road in Cabarrus County next month Friday, February 22, 2013

 

 

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin a $582,000 project to replace the bridge on Mount Pleasant Road over Dutch Buffalo Creek at 9 a.m. Monday, March 4, weather permitting.

 

Contractor Eastern Structures LLC of Mooresville will remove the bridge located north of Concord, install new guardrail, and improve the approaches to the bridge on Mount Pleasant Road. Motorists will follow a posted detour from Mount Pleasant Road to Mount Olive Road to Gold Hill Road back to Mount Pleasant Road.

 

The bridge should open to traffic July 29, while vegetation and reforestation work continues through January 2014.
