Intermittent Lane Closures on N.C. 133 Bridge in Oak Island Starting Feb. 20 Wednesday, February 13, 2013

RALEIGH — Motorists using the N.C. 133 bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Oak Island will encounter intermittent lane closures during the next two weeks.

The closures will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each weekday beginning Wednesday, Feb. 20 until Thursday, Feb. 28, weather permitting.  No closures are scheduled for the weekend.

The lane closures are necessary so crews can perform routine inspections on the bridge.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed in this area.
