CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Old Pageland-Marshville Road south of Monroe at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, weather permitting.
Crews with R.E. Burns and Sons of Statesville will work to replace the bridge over Lanes Creek, anticipated to wrap up Sept. 1. The $1 million project will require a detour along Lanes Creek Road, Philadelphia Church Road and Smith Town Road. Vegetation and reforestation efforts will continue through February 2014.
