NCDOT will close a section of Green School Road in Anson County for bridgework Monday, January 14, 2013

 

Project will require road closure through early May

 

CHARLOTTE – The N.C Department of Transportation will close a section of Green School Road south of Wadesboro at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, weather permitting.

 

Contractor Boggs Paving Inc. was awarded the $290,000 contract to replace the bridge over Middle Fork Jones Creek. During the project, traffic will follow a posted detour from Green School Road to Bethel Road to Dickie Little Road to Gulledge Road back to Green Hill School Road.

 

The bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed May 6. The contractor can continue vegetation and reforestation efforts through Nov. 1.
