Traffic Shift on N.C. 43 in Pitt County Begins Monday Friday, January 11, 2013

RALEIGH — Beginning Monday, Jan. 14 at 8 a.m., crews will shift traffic on N.C. 43 in Greenville into a two-lane two-way traffic pattern from U.S. 264 to just west of B’s Barbeque Road.

Motorists will remain in this traffic pattern until March 29 as crews continue to work on widening and repaving the road.

This work began in February 2011 and is part of a $5.7 million contract awarded to Barnhill Contracting Co.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
