NCDOT to Close Barnett Road in Mebane for Bridge Replacement Friday, January 11, 2013

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of Barnett Road in Alamance County on Monday, Jan. 14 to replace the bridge over Quaker Creek. The new bridge is expected to open by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14.
 
Barnett Road will be closed to through traffic from Dickey Mill Road to John Lewis Road.  During the closure, motorists should use the following signed detour:
  • Barnett Road to Dickey Mill Road to N.C. 119 North to N.C. 49 South to John Lewis Road back to Barnett Road.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
