NCDOT will close lanes on Independence Boulevard in Charlotte tonight and tomorrow night Tuesday, January 08, 2013

 

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will be closing the right lane on Independence Boulevard (U.S. 74) East and West between Farmingdale Drive and Idlewild Road from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. tonight and Wednesday night, Jan. 9, weather permitting.

 

During the lane closures, crews with Piedmont Natural Gas will be installing a gas line to connect to a local business. Two lanes will be open to traffic in both directions while the work takes place.

 

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
