Closure will take place from midnight to 9 a.m.
CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close the exit ramp from I-85 North to Freedom Drive (Exit 34) at midnight Sunday, Jan. 6, weather permitting. The ramp will reopen at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
During the closure, crews will repair an overhead sign structure. Motorists can continue north on I-85 to Glenwood Drive (Exit 35), turn left to cross over the interstate, then turn left to get back on I-85 South to Freedom Drive.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
