CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation has reopened a section of Hood Road in Charlotte this morning, having completed a project to replace the bridge over Reedy Creek.
Contractor Dane Construction of Mooresville started the $602,000 project July 30. One of the project’s subcontractors ran into delays getting to the work site, which delayed the Nov. 26 completion date. The contractor has replaced the existing bridge and substructure, installed guardrail, and built up the shoulder approaches to the new bridge.
