Lane Closure on U.S. 1 Begins Tonight in Wake County Wednesday, October 10, 2012

RALEIGH — One lane of  U.S. 1 South will be closed between N.C. 55 and New Hill Holleman Road in Apex beginning at 7 p.m. tonight, Oct. 10 until 6 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, weather permitting.

The closure will take place again from 7 p.m. Thursday night until 6 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12 to allow the contractor to pave the collection road for merging traffic and travel lanes on U.S. 1.  

At least one lane will remain open at all times.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
