CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin replacing the bridge on Parks Lafferty Road over a branch of Rocky River in Concord beginning Monday, August 27, weather permitting.
Contractor TCB Builders Inc. was awarded the $373,000 contract to replace the existing bridge, build up the shoulders on the roadway, and install guardrail. Bridgework is scheduled to be completed Dec. 3, while reforestation and vegetation work will continue through June 1, 2013.
A detour will be posted for motorists along Parks Lafferty Road, U.S. 601, Flowes Store Road East and Flowes Store Road.
