NCDOT to Temporarily Close Cherry Lane Road in Alamance County for Bridge Work Friday, July 20, 2012

RALEIGH — Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Cherry Lane Road between Gov. Scott Farm Road and Jimmy Kerr Road in Haw River beginning Wednesday, July 25 through Friday, Aug. 17. The closure is necessary for milling, paving and bridge deck slab repairs.
 
Motorists should use the following signed detour and are encouraged to allow an additional 10 minutes for travel to their destination:
  • Cherry Lane Road to Jimmy Kerr Road to Trollingwood Road back to Cherry Lane Road.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
