RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of N.C. 100 (Haggard Avenue/Burlington Street) between Apple Street and N.C. 100 (Elon Bypass/University Drive) in Alamance County to install bridge girders for the new Cook Road bridge over N.C. 100 (Haggard Avenue/Burlington Street).
Weather permitting, the work will begin at 10 p.m. on Friday, July 20 and is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 21. In the event of rain on Friday night, the work will be postponed until Saturday night.
Motorists should use the following signed detour:
- N.C. 100 (Haggard Avenue/Burlington Street) to Apple Street to be Gibsonville-Ossipee Road to Manning Avenue to N.C. 100/Elon Bypass/University Drive back to N.C. 100 (Haggard Avenue/Burlington Street).
