CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Hood Road in Charlotte to replace the bridge over Reedy Creek beginning Monday, July 30, weather permitting.
The $602,000 contract was awarded to Dane Construction of Mooresville to remove the existing bridge and substructure, build up the shoulders on the approaches to the bridge, and install guardrail.
Traffic will be detoured around the project from Hood Road to Plaza Road Extension to Harris Boulevard to Robinson Church Road back to Hood Road. The project is scheduled to be completed November 26.
