NCDOT to Close Lane on Martin Luther King Parkway in New Hanover County for Bridge Maintenance Monday, July 16, 2012

The North Carolina Department of Transportation will close one of two lanes of eastbound traffic on Martin Luther King Parkway from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 19.

The closure is necessary to allow crews to perform routine maintenance on a MLK Parkway/U.S. 74 bridge that crosses McRae Street near downtown Wilmington.

At least one lane will remain open during the work period. Cones and signs will direct drivers traveling toward Wrightsville Beach to merge from two lanes to one.
