NCDOT to Replace a Bridge on Worthington Road in Pitt County Friday, July 06, 2012

RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation will replace the bridge on Worthington Road near Winterville beginning on Monday, July 9, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.  

During the bridge replacement, Worthington Road will be closed to traffic at the bridge site.  The project is scheduled to be complete on September 23.

Motorists traveling east on Worthington Road should use the following detour:

  • Old Tar Road to Fire Tower Road to Corey Road back to Worthington Road.  

Motorists traveling west on Worthington Road should use the following detour:

  • Corey Road to Fire Tower Road to Old Tar Road back to Worthington Road.
