NCDOT to Replace Bridge on Grimesland Bridge Road in Pitt County Tuesday, July 03, 2012

RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation will replace the bridge on Grimesland Bridge Road south of Grimesland beginning on Thursday, July 5, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.  

During the bridge replacement, Grimesland Bridge Road will be closed to traffic at the bridge site.  The project is scheduled to be complete on July 26.

Motorists traveling north on Grimesland Bridge Road should use the following signed detour:
  • Carrow Road to Hodges Road to Dixon Road back to Grimesland Bridge Road.
Motorists traveling south on Grimesland Bridge Road should use the following signed detour:
  • Dixon Road to Hodges Road to Carrow Road back to Grimesland Bridge Road.
