NCDOT to close a section of Ridge Street in Anson County for bridge replacement project Monday, July 02, 2012

Detour will be posted for motorists

 

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Ridge Road between Old Plank Road and Main Street (U.S. 52) in Ansonville Monday, July 23, weather permitting. The $1.6 million project includes replacing the bridge over the Winston Salem Southbound Railway, installing guardrail, and placing long life pavement markings and permanent pavement markers on the roadway.

 

Crews with Blythe Development Co. will keep Ridge Street closed through June 1, 2013.  A detour will be posted for traffic from Ridge Street to Old Plank Road to Smith Street to Main Street back to Ridge Street.

 

The contractor can continue vegetation establishment and reforestation work through November 28, 2013.
