RALEIGH - NCDOT is disappointed that the 4th Circuit
will not have the opportunity to rehear this case. But weeks ago N.C. Turnpike
Authority (NCTA) began an active review of all issues the panel raised in their
opinion. We will continue this work to determine what, if any, additional
environmental study might be necessary. While we are reviewing this data,
we will engage appropriate experts. Until we have completed this process, we
are suspending most work on this project.
