CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Fletcher Broome Road west of Monroe to replace the bridge over Beaverdam Creek beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, June 18, weather permitting.
The $437,000 contract was awarded to TCB Builders Inc. to replace the existing bridge and install guardrail.
Traffic will be detoured around the project from Fletcher Broome Road to Corinth Church Road to Doster Road. The bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed Nov. 14, and the contractor can continue vegetation and reforestation work through May 13, 2013.
