NCDOT to Replace Bridge on Rowland Road over Big Bear Creek in Stanly County Thursday, June 14, 2012

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of Rowland Road west of Albemarle to replace the bridge over Big Bear Creek beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, June 18, weather permitting.

 

The $437,000 contract was awarded to TCB Builders Inc. to replace the existing bridge and install guardrail.

 

Traffic will be detoured around the project from Rowland Road to Old Concord Road to N.C. 73 to Hugh Road. The bridge replacement is scheduled to be completed Nov.14, and the contractor can continue vegetation and reforestation work through May 13, 2013.
