RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will replace the bridge on N.C. 102 between U.S. 17 and Leary-Mills Road just south of Chocowinity beginning on Friday, June 8, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
The bridge will be replaced with an aluminum box culverts and work is scheduled to be complete July 3.
Motorists traveling north along N.C. 102 will follow a signed detour from U.S. 17 to Barr Road to Cayton Road to Leary-Mills Road, before returning to N.C. 102. Southbound motorists will follow that same route in reverse.
