Night-time lane closures on U.S. 64 in Apex this week Tuesday, May 15, 2012

RALEIGH — One lane in each direction of U.S. 64 between N.C. 55 and Kelly Ridge Drive in Apex will be closed overnight, beginning tonight, May 15, May 15 through Saturday, May 19 btween 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting.

The closures are necessary to allow the contractor for the Western Wake Freeway to safely remove the concrete barrier wall, install a guardrail and prepare to build the concrete bridge deck over the roadway.

One lane will remain open in each direction.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
