RALEIGH — Contractors will temporarily close one of two entrances to the Ashley Downs subdivision on Olive Chapel Road in Apex beginning tonight, at 7 p.m., until Saturday, April 21 at 1 p.m., weather permitting.

The neighborhood entrance closest to Olive Chapel Elementary School will be closed as crews repave the entrance to tie it into Olive Chapel Road. The neighborhood’s eastern entrance will remain open.

Once the entrance near the school is reopened, Olive Chapel Road traffic will be shifted onto the new bridge over NC 540.

In addition, temporary lane closures will be in place on Olive Chapel Road as crews shift traffic onto the new bridge.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
