NCDOT to Paint Bridges on U.S. 70 in Craven County Monday, March 19, 2012

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will paint both the eastbound and westbound bridges on U.S. 70 over U.S. 17 in New Bern beginning Wednesday, March 21, at 7 a.m., weather permitting.

Lane closures will be in place on U.S. 17 while crews perform the work, however at least one lane will remain open at all times. Traffic on U.S. 70 will not be affected.

The project, which will clean, prime and paint the bridge, is scheduled to be complete on Saturday, May 5.
