TRAFFIC ON CARPENTER FIRE STATION ROAD IN CARY TO BE SWITCHED TO FINAL PATTERN SATURDAY Friday, February 24, 2012

RALEIGH — Contractors will open the second bridge on Carpenter Fire Station Road over the Western Wake Freeway tomorrow, Feb. 25 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Westbound traffic on Carpenter Fire Station Road will be shifted into the outside lane of the new bridge. During the traffic shift, motorists traveling between Cary Glen Boulevard and Cameron Pond Road on Carpenter Fire Station Road should expect minor delays.

The inside lanes of both bridges will be closed following the traffic shift as crews begin work in the median.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
