NCDOT to Replace a Bridge on Penny Hill Road in Pitt County Friday, February 10, 2012

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will replace the bridge on Penny Hill Road over Conetoe Creek near Falkland beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 8 a.m., weather permitting.

The project, which was awarded to Dellinger Inc. for $1.1 million, is scheduled to be complete by May 14.

During the bridge replacement Penny Hill Road will be closed to traffic at the bridge site.

Motorists traveling north on Penny Hill Road should use the following signed detour:

•    Porter Road to Durwood Pollard Road to Holland Road back to Penny Hill Road.

Motorists traveling south on Penny Hill Road should use the following signed detour:

•    Holland Road to Durwood Pollard Road to Porter Road back to Penny Hill Road.
