Cedar Island-Ocracoke Route Will Miss Runs Wednesday Monday, February 06, 2012

RALEIGH — The North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division will miss two departures on the Cedar Island-Ocracoke route Wed., Feb. 8, in order for the U.S. Coast Guard to perform an inspection on the Motor Vessel Carteret.

This is a scheduled inspection that must take place in order for the vessel to continue operating.

The two departures that will not take place are:
• The 10 a.m. run from Cedar Island to Ocraoke; and
• The 1 p.m. run from Ocracoke to Cedar Island.

The following runs will take place:
• The 7:30 a.m. run from Ocracoke to Cedar Island; and
• The 4:30 p.m. departure from Cedar Island to Ocracoke.
