NCDOT to Reopen Beaufort County Bridge Thursday, January 26, 2012

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation will reopen the bridge over Huddy’s Gut on Hickory Point Road near the Aurora ferry terminal on Friday, Jan. 27, weather permitting.

The bridge was damaged in August 2011 by Hurricane Irene and has been closed to traffic since that time.
The department hired Trader Construction of New Bern to perform the repairs, which cost $455,675.
