Traffic to be Shifted onto Newly Constructed Buddy Phillips Bridge in Jacksonville Thursday, January 19, 2012

 

RALEIGH —Motorist traveling U.S. 17/Marine Boulevard in Jacksonville will be shifted onto the newly constructed Buddy Phillips Bridge beginning the evening of Friday, Jan. 20, weather permitting.

 

Traffic will be placed in a two-lane, two-way traffic pattern.  During this phase of construction, the existing bridge will be removed and construction of the new bridge will be completed.

 

Construction is anticipated to be complete by July 2013.

 

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
