Lane closure on Capital Boulevard this week for bridge work Tuesday, January 17, 2012

RALEIGH — The N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will be closing one of two lanes of northbound Capital Boulevard this week where the roadway crosses over Atlantic Avenue at Wake Forest Road. The lane closures are necessary to perform road and bridge maintenance. Weather permitting, the work will start today with daily lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The work is expected to take four to five days to complete.

NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit in the work zone.
