NCDOT Rail Division to Close a Portion of Pomeroy Street for Sewer Line Installation in Alamance County Thursday, May 14, 2015

GREENSBORO —The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a small portion of Pomeroy Street in Graham this weekend while crews install a new sewage line under the roadway.

The work will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, and is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.
During the brief closure, motorists will use Hanover Road, Rivers Street and South Graham Hopedale Road as the 1.1 mile signed detour route. Once complete, the sewage line installation will help expedite work scheduled to take place later in the year at the same location.
The construction is a part of the Piedmont Improvement Program, which is NCDOT's largest and most significant rail program encompassing a series of projects along the North Carolina Railroad Corridor.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
