NCDOT to Repair Bridge Over Town Creek in Rowan County Tuesday, August 05, 2014

WINSTON-SALEM– Beginning next week, N.C. Department of Transportation crews will repair Peeler Road Bridge over Town Creek near Salisbury.

Starting Monday, Aug 11, at 8 a.m. bridge maintenance crews will close the bridge between US 29 and I-85 for repair work. Construction will be completed, weather permitting by Friday Aug. 15 at 5 p.m.

During the repair work, drivers will I-85 south, Webb Road, US 29/South Main Street and Peeler Road as a detour route. Local traffic will be able to access home and businesses from either end of Peeler Road, but will not be able to pass beyond the closure points on either side of Town Creek

NCDOT encourages motorists to pay attention, obey the posted speed limit, and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
