NCDOT to Complete Construction on The Hastings Hill Road Bridge over I-40 Bus (US 421) in Forsyth County
WINSTON-SALEM — The N.C. Department of Transportation is putting the finishing touches on the Hastings Hill Road bridge over I-40 Business (US 421) in Winston-Salem within the coming days.
At 8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, crews will close the right lane of traffic on I-40 Bus E (US 421 S) at Hastings Hill Road bridge over I-40 Bus (US 421) in order to complete the work shoulder reconstruction, widening, paving and installation of a concrete barrier rail. The construction project on this bridge began on January 7, 2013. This final stage of work will complete the year and-a-half long project. Construction is expected to wrap up by 8 p.m. Wednesday July 23, weather permitting.
This project is part of the department’s overall bridge program to improve the condition of the state’s bridges.
